In 2009, I almost died from an extreme allergic reaction to a medication which placed me in a coma for weeks. Doctors were baffled and did not give my family and friends much hope for me to live.
Thankfully, God woke me up, but, with that came challenges. I had no balance or coordination, wasn’t able to walk on my own, my short term memory was impacted, trouble with my speech, tingling and numbness in my hands and severe complications with my vision.
I was 26 years old at the time and I literally had to learn how to live again. As soon as I finished rehab, I began to receive chiropractic adjustments. I was so amazed with how the first adjustment removed the tingling and numbness in my hands. With each adjustment, I saw amazing changes. My speech, vision, balance and coordination, and memory were all quickly restored.
I knew that Chiropractic works wonders, but, now I am living proof. This experience made me better, more empathetic, and passionate doctor than ever before.

When I was 21 years old working in another industry. A co-worker saw how badly I was suffering and cared enough to explain Chiropractic to me. As a result of getting adjusted regularly, I have not had a migraine headache in 13 years. I founded Health Quest in Albuquerque, NM in 2003. Our concept is that we are first and foremost an educational facility, and secondly a center for healing. I am New Mexico true, born and raised in Santa Rosa, NM. I studied Biochemistry at UNM. And then earned my Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, TX.
Since a very young age, my family instilled a more natural approach to health and healing. Especially my grandmother who was a well-known curandera, or healer, for decades in eastern NM. I strive to live a drug-free lifestyle and use natural and spiritual means to tap into my body’s full healing potential. Teaching my patient’s about the body’s innate ability to self-heal, is something that I enjoy. I was first introduced to chiropractic while dealing with different sports injuries in middle school and high school. However, it wasn’t until I was exploring health care fields that I found chiropractic to be my calling. My passion is working with families and people of all ages. I look forward to serving!

My path as a Chiropractor began at Sherman College of Chiropractic in 1979. I practiced in Peachtree City, Georgia for 35 years before retiring and moving to New Mexico in 2016.
I have been involved in chiropractic politics since 1976, including many different positions with the Georgia Council of Chiropractic. Upon moving to New Mexico, I, along with other chiropractors here in the state, saw a need for a new state chiropractic association. The Alliance of New Mexico Chiropractors was formed in 2018 and I currently serve as Executive Director, and on the legislative affairs committee.
I have authored hundreds of chiropractic patient educational articles, am the former publisher of In Touch Newsletter, a chiropractic patient education subscription service. I have also served as an adjunct post graduate faculty through Sherman College of Chiropractic.
One of my favorite hobbies and passions is as a qualified instructor for recreational tree climbing, specializing in tree climbing programs for the disabled. I have worked with the Muscular Dystrophy Summer Camp program every year since 1973 as a volunteer/ counselor/ staff member. I also enjoy biking, photography, and messing around with old cars.
